Moving forward.

Literally...moving.

In December we bought land.  This whole story is such a God-story and really amazing.  We own this beautiful piece of land and then decided we would just wait. Thinking about listing our house and dealing with that around our busy life right now just seemed a tad daunting.

Today we closed on the sale of our house. Yes. You read that right. We sold our house and we never listed it. We showed it once to friends...and they bought it.

The story gets more amazing than that.

They offered to let us rent it for several months.

Who does this?  Seriously. Amazing.

We had our current house built and moved in when Azahria was 8 months old (almost the same age Nazara is now).  That feels like a lifetime ago!  We had 4 little (tiny) children.  We had no idea what God had in store for each one of us over the next few years. We have lived here 5 years...and expanded from 4 children to 10.  We are ready for the next phase!

So we own land. Sold our house. Are now renting our house.  And...need to start thinking about building on our land.  We do have plans almost finalized...not quite done.  Lots of (fun) thought has been put into this and this is pretty exciting.

Just letting you all know...our big news! :)

  1. Congratulations! Although moves are often scary, (we've moved 3 states and 5 times in 11 years!!), I always love seeing God in each and every move… His presence always amazes me as I look for Him. And your friends allowing you to rent… that's God working in your favor, which He promises to do. :) Look forward to following your new journey. Thank you for sharing your faith and love, along with your beautiful family!!

    Have a great day!

  2. That sounds amazing :) Sometimes God does funny little things that make me laugh. How he can orchestrate things to our good without us even realizing it. I am also moving...but to California. I got accepted to Bethel's school of worship for the summer, so I will be there for 2 weeks in July, but I feel the time is right for me to be there full time and be a part of that church in Redding. So I am excited and scared all at the same time!

Congrats on your new house :)

  3. Hi Janice. Just a note to say thanks for your word of encouragement last month to focus on "who" rather than "why" or any other question that might take my eyes off Christ. That advice has proven to be golden! http://justinrambles.wordpress.com/2014/02/22/who/

  4. Dena~ how wonderful! Please keep in touch and I will be praying for you on your new adventure. Isn't that what it is...an adventure...? Yes. We are so shocked when God moves in the little areas of our life, as if He doesn't care.

  6. That is an amazing story! You’re also blessed to have such a nice set of friends. That saved you the hassles of listing and selling your house. Hope all is well with the family now!
