LID!

As of November 10th, we are officially LID! Now the count down :)

And...we got beautiful new pictures of our beautiful girl.

Yes in one she is crying. We were also given videos and we can see why she's crying in the video (big thanks to my brother and his wife who interpreted it for us!).

We are doing as much as we can to bring this beautiful girl home.

Isn't she stunning?

Breathtaking.

  2. Awww, I am SO HAPPY for you all, Janice! What a beautiful blessing she is! And, um... what is LID? (Aside from the obvious I mean, lol!) Oh, btw, did you get my email? Just curious since I haven't yet heard back from you so want to be sure it didn't get lost in cyberspace somewhere! Hugs, Lori

    1. LID just means our dossier (stack of paperwork) has made it to China and is officially logged in to their system. Now we wait for the next big moment, Letter Of Approval. :) YES I did get your email. Totally thought I replied!

  3. Huge Congratulations! It's such a relief to get all that stinkin paperwork off your plate and in China where it can start working it's magic! Always so happy to see families making progress. This is the part that I think is hard- the waiting on government this and that, because I'm not in control of the progress. Hopefully you have more patience than I do! We just got back from China the end of September with our newest addition- sweet Piper, who is 5 and such a joy! Keep trucking and hoping that the rest of your journey moves quickly and without any speed bumps :-) Michelle

    1. Thank you Michelle! Congrats on your precious little Piper! Always have loved that name. :) Just didn't have a "z" in it for us, ha! You know...we are working so hard to get in the house right now that it feels like this adoption is FLYING. We basically will be just settling in the house when it's time to go to China. Not that I ever recommend building a house and adopting at the same time....but... :) It's a great way to make the process fly! :)

  4. We built many homes....the last one was being built at the same time we saw our sons face! I can honestly say that building and adopting is hard but doable...though we had to work from the day we closed on the house till travel to China...about 11 months to get everything in the house done and ready. Its been a whirlwind but hubby is in China RIGHT NOW and Gotcha Day is in my time zone at 8 pm tonight ( Sunday)!!!!!! So excited that hubby will be home for Christmas with our son, 1 week before Christmas!!!! The BEST Christmas gift ever!

  5. Got our boy..saw him on Facetime...oh my gosh is he chunky and talkative! He is a little over 2 and more like an American 3-4 year old!!! He was nodding no when Nanny told him hubby is Baba. But he is warming up to him slowly. So curious to Facetime hubby in a few hours to see how first night went! My other kids are all over the map with feelings over new brother. I am nervous too! Praying he likes us! :-) How you do it with way more kiddos then me is amazing! When do u travel for your girl? Would also like to see you have a post about how you keep it all together with so many. You'd think I would know, I have 11 siblings and it was nuts growing up, been asking my Mom how she did it. She made it look easy! Ahhhh
